Flight Lieutenant Colin Wardle started his cadet career at 1089 (7th Glasgow) (Shettleston Sqn) at the age of 13 and rose through the ranks to cadet warrant officer and then became a civilian instructor in 1998 and then became commissioned at 1089 in 2001. After gaining his commission he was appointed to 122 (5th Glasgow) Maryhill Sqn as Sqn commander on Aug 2004. He holds the rank of flight lieutenant.

Adult Warrant Officer Deryck Carruthers started his cadet career at 1089 Shettleston Sqn at the age of 13 and rose thorough the ranks to cadet warrant officer. He became a civilian instructor before becoming an adult warrant officer.
Adult Warrant Officer Tom Kerr Joined 122 Maryhill Squadron one week before his seventeenth birthday. The year was 1968 when he joined up. He got from to cdt to cpl after a year and a half. When he was 20 cdt service terminated was asked to stay on as a civilian instructor. He was a civilian instructor for 15 years. After 15 years he became adult warrant officer.
Adult Flight Sergeant John McDowell joined 62 Squadron in May 1981 as a civilian instructor for six months and made the rank of squadron warrant officer, and left after 15 years to become a nurse. He then came back to Maryhill squadron as an Adult Flight Sergeant and was awarded CFM in October 2007.
